I kicked-off the first day of our statewide Putting Maine First Tour yesterday and stopped in Kennebec, Androscoggin, Oxford, Franklin, & Cumberland counties.

Check out the highlight of our first day on the road!

Kennebec County

Our first stop of the tour was Augusta, where I hosted a health care town and heard from Mainers about their concerns about access to affordable health care. Health care is on the ballot this election, and I’ll always fight to protect and expand access to care in the Senate.

Androscoggin County

Next, I visited with students from Bates College to talk about how important this election is and how they can help our campaign get out the vote. I was so excited to see how motivated these students are to take control of their future and to help turn out the youth vote.

Oxford County

I visited Nichols Logging in Oxford County for our third stop of the day to hear directly from Maine loggers about what kind of leadership they need in the Senate.

Franklin County

It was a great day to tour businesses in downtown Farmington! Maine’s small businesses are so important to our economy, and I will always fight for them in the Senate.

Cumberland County

I wrapped up Day One of our Putting Maine First Tour in Cumberland County with a special drive-in rally to help get out the vote. Huge thank you to the Ballroom Thieves and Oshima Brothers for their wonderful musical performances and to everyone else who joined us for such a fun event!

Keep up with the rest of our tour across all 16 counties by following along on social media: @SaraGideon on Twitter, @SaraGideonME on Facebook and @saragideonme on Instagram.
